Sheila Condit holds a Masters of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine and is licensed to practice Acupuncture in the State of Oregon.
Owner and manager of Pleasant Hill Acupuncture In Springfield, Oregon. I have been a licensed, practicing clinical acupuncturist for over a decade, and have treated thousands of patients since.
My first acupuncture business, Arizona Acupuncture LLC, opened in January of 2009. I had an active practice in Arizona but missed the great Northwest lifestyle and my family members. Jim, my husband of over thirty years and I relocated to the Eugene area in 2015.
Our Springfield is very convieniently located in the Island Park Professional Center
Background: I was born in Portland, Oregon and lived a rural life raised near the City of Sandy, Oregon, which is located on the western foothills of Mt. Hood. Influenced by my father's career as a building contractor I began taking drafting classes at our local community college after high school. I became an engineering technician in Portland and enjoyed riding my horse and gardening in my spare time. Eventually, I found myself living and working in Arizona and began martial arts classes. I began taking classes from Professor Ken Eddy in Seifujujitsu Restorative Therapy (an ancient Judo restorative massage therapy) earning a level 3. Ken Eddy encouraged me to pursue an Oriental Medicine degree to learn acupuncture and Chinese medicine. As with most people, my first experience with Acupuncture began as a patient. In 2000 I severely sprained my ankle and found absolutely no relief or improvement with what my family medical doctor had to offer. The Sensi of the martial arts school I attended referred me to an accomplished acupuncturist. Motivated by a very painful ankle, and with great trepidation, I made an appointment. I hopped into his clinic on my one good foot, and after a wonderful acupuncture treatment, I was able to walk out on two feet!
The successes I experienced over the next several years as a patient convinced me that this medicine was a worthy pursuit and came to recognize this medicine could fill the expansive gap in healthcare using western medicine.
In 2005 I enrolled at Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) where I earned my Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. In late 2008 I passed my NCCAOM national board exams and became an Arizona licensed practitioner in January of 2009 and opened my first clinic, Arizona Acupuncture LLC, practicing in Scottsdale, Arizona. My husband Jim, a civil engineer, changed employment and we relocated to Yuma, Arizona in 2011, where I opened a new clinic location. In 2014 my husband and I decided to return to Oregon while we were both young enough to trail ride through forests and keep up with owning acreage and farm animals. I became licensed to practice in Oregon and opened Pleasant Hill Community Acupuncture in 2015, and since then expanded my services to include medical pulse diagnosis and custom herbal formulas to meet the need in the local area.
I plan to spend the rest of my days practicing this amazing medicine, and I can personally continue to testify as to the power of Chinese medicine. In 2016 I attended Bob Doan's Cardiovascular Diseases Seminar. It was an advanced class on medical pulse diagnosis and treating conditions of the heart. Bob checked my pulses and to my surprise diagnosed me with having a mild blockage in my coronary arteries. He recommended an herbal formula based on the medical pulse diagnosis. Within weeks after following the herbal prescription my chilly hands and feet became warmer, work responsibilities and life's everyday chores became less effort, and I had more time for hobbies. Taking the herbal medicine over several months reversed my pulse back to a healthy level, and I found more energy than I remembered having.
Currently, I am in my mid 60's, with a full work week, have a husband, three horses, a loyal dog, with ducks and chickens on my five-acre mini-ranchette that keep me busy.
Let us show you the way to a healthier, happier lif
